From time to time, I get the urge to play and record something. A couple days ago, I recorded a live ‘In Trouble’ video, sitting in the same spot I did when I wrote and recorded it for the first time 42 years ago.
As with recent Live from the inSync Asylum recordings, I did the take without headphones or monitoring the guitar, just listening to the backing track thru the studio monitors. This recording is a bit more developed than some of the others I’ve done recently. I started with the backing track from the 2014 version released on Trip Note 4 and the In Trouble EP.
I stripped that recording down, and added guitar, keys, drums, and keyboard bass prior to doing the live vocal and guitar performance. I once again used the Mexicaster run thru a Neural DSP Morgan Amp plugin in Cubase. Video was 3 webcams recorded simultaneously into a single 4K file. Check it out and let me know what you think...
